3 Critical behavior of the 3 - state Potts model on Sierpinski carpet
We study the critical behavior of the 3-state Potts model, where the spins are located at the centers of the occupied squares of the deterministic Sierpinski carpet. A finite-size scaling analysis is performed from Monte Carlo simulations, for a Hausdorff dimension df ≃ 1.8928. The phase transition is shown to be a second order one. The maxima of the susceptibility of the order parameter follow...
متن کاملCritical Correlations of the 2-dimensional, 3-state Potts Model
We exploit the identification between the critical theory of the 3-state Potts model and the D5 conformal model. This allows us to determine all 3-point correlations involving the fields associated with the Potts order parameter and the energy density. The calculation uses screened Coulomb gas correlations. The Z3 symmetry of the 3-state Potts model is manifestly preserved. ENSLAPP-L-526/95 Jun...
متن کاملNormalized entropy density of the 3D 3-state Potts model
Using a multicanonical Metropolis algorithm we have performed Monte Carlo simulations of the 3D 3-state Potts model on L lattices with L = 20, 30, 40, 50. Covering a range of inverse temperatures from βmin = 0 to βmax = 0.33 we calculated the infinite volume limit of the entropy density s(β) with its normalization obtained from s(0) = ln 3. At the transition temperature the entropy and energy e...
متن کاملConserved charges in the chiral 3 - state Potts model
We consider the perturbations of the 3-state Potts conformal field theory introduced by Cardy as a description of the chiral 3-state Potts model. By generalising Zamolodchikov's counting argument and by explicit calculation we find new inhomogeneous conserved currents for this theory. We conjecture the existence of an infinite set of conserved currents of this form and discuss their relevance t...
متن کاملThe 3-State Potts Antiferromagnet on the Hexagonal Lattice
We study the 3-state hexagonal-lattice Potts antiferromagnet by a Monte Carlo simulation using the Wang-Swendsen-Kotecký cluster algorithm. We study the staggered susceptibility and the correlation length, and we confirm that this model is disordered at all temperatures T ≥ 0. We also measure the ground-state entropy density.
